Mysore style of painting

Mysore style of painting is a very ancient style originated in Mysore city of South India. Mysore paintings are about mythological characters and the emotions involved in them. The style of painting involves very delicate brush strokes, vibrant colors are used and the thin gold foil work is the most intricate work. I’m very humbled and honoured to have learned the techniques in Mysore painting from Ms. Chandrika, daughter of M.Ramanarasaiah whose works are exhibited in the Mysore Palace.
