I'm Jahnavi Kanakatte aka Jahnavi KJ. I started to draw and paint at a very early age.I'm a self-taught artist. I became a professional artist in the year 2018. After moving to Canada I'm also painting more of mysore style of painting along with contemporary landscapes in which I excel. My most memorable time as an artist was when I first held a Solo Art Exhibition at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath. Jahnavi is a self-taught artist residing in Canada. Born in Mysore and brought-up in Mysore and Bangalore, she is keen on impressionism and is inspired by works of Claude Monet and Camille Pissarro. Grand daughter of Late Prof. Subbaraya KV she has completed her Engineering and Masters from University of Mysore. With constant support from her parents Dr.Janardhan KS and Vrinda CM carnatic classical vocalist, and advices from senior artists, she has constantly improvised her skills. She has completed her Junior exams in Carnatic classical vocals and Bharatnatyam. Nature is her everyday motivation to keep painting. Her skills in Composition and usage of colours are appreciated.
