Kinetic Art movement is about art which moved or rotated such as mobile, mechanical sculptures to Op art paintings.
After the Second World War, a group exhibition called “Le Mouvement” held at Paris in 1955 exhibited Kinetic Art. Kinetic art extended in Time and Space which gave a different perspective and notion. The knowledge of scientific mechanism, the movement, functionality were the key elements in the art works.
Some of the famous art works are:
Bicycle wheel, 1913 by Marcel Duchamp

Vega III, 1957 by Victor Vasarely

Arc of petals, 1941 by Alexander Calder

This art movement influenced contemporary art.
